Not every valuable connection at GALVATECH was made of zinc!

From 11 to 15 October, Monterrey, Mexico, became a meeting point for the international galvanized steel industry. And AD Coil Coating Technologies was right in the middle of it!

Roland Schellen and Collin Balemans attended GALVATECH 2026 to reconnect with industry partners, meet new faces and exchange perspectives on the future of galvanized steel.

With innovations in galvanizing technology taking centre stage, there was plenty to discuss. For us, the conversations naturally extended beyond the zinc layer, focusing on passivation, thin organic coatings (TOC) and lubrication boosters. Technologies that play an important role in protecting surfaces, enhancing functionality and supporting downstream processing.

Because while zinc protects steel, it’s the connections between people that keep our industry moving forward.
