Fifth place for PreDura® at the ION Borghardt Award 2026!

During the Surface Technology Day at METAVAK, CoatR took fifth place with PreDura® in the ION Borghardt Award 2026.  PreDura® is a new chemical pretreatment process for aluminium developed in collaboration with AD Chemicals. The combination of pH-neutral deep cleaning and very mild etching makes the process suitable for the increasing variety of recycled aluminium alloys.

This collaboration has resulted in 25% lower rinsing water consumption, 10% lower energy consumption, 20% lower chemical consumption and 75% less sludge formation with the use of PreDura®.
