Use of PreCoat TVL
PreCoat TVL is used to obtain a conversion coating on aluminium extrusions and panels. After immersion (or spraying) in PreCoat TVL, the wet film is dried on the aluminium surface without additional rinsing (so called no rinse system), prior to the powder coating.

AD Chemicals doubts this statement of Qualicoat. When you only focus on the 1008 hours corrosion resistance, that has been described in the past, Qualicoat is right. However, the corrosion resistance of chromium (VI) based pretreatments fulfills the 2500 hours. This was a fair value for Chromium (VI) based pretreatments on Aluminium. AD Chemicals has investigated their chromium-free systems on the corrosion resistance of 3024 hours and compared it with the traditional chromium(VI) systems.
Internal research shows that the tpretreatment of AD Chemicals PreCoat TVL achieved a corrosion resistance of 2500-3024 hours. With an AD Chemicals pretreatment you can count on the best corrosion resistance available in the market.

PreCoat A34: Conversion coating (and passivation)
Application of PreCoat A34 creates a conversion layer on the aluminium surface the improves corrosion resitance and adhesion properties. Unique feature is that it also creates a passivation layer on the aluminium surface. This passivation layer provides so called bare corrosion protection, in other words; corrosion protection of the aluminium without a coating. The characteristics of this layer are comparable with hexavalent chromium based passivation layers and in some cases it even outperforms chromium-6 corrosion protection values. The product is Qualicoat certified.
