What does it take to switch from GA to GI without compromising press shop performance?

His presentation explored how PrimeLube® booster lubricant technology can support automotive manufacturers in the transition from galvannealed steel to standard hot dip galvanized GI steel, while addressing key tribological challenges.

These include friction, zinc transfer, tool pollution and galling. Exactly the effects that can make the switch more challenging in demanding forming operations.

Developed through long term cooperation between Tata Steel and Coil Coating Technologies, PrimeLube® is designed to modify the surface behaviour of GI while maintaining compatibility with downstream automotive processes.
