Iron phosphating for general industry (Steel)
The AD phosphate technology has been developed with the high quality demands of iron and steel coating companies in mind.Iron phosphating (short phosphating) is a chemical pre-treatment process. During the process, a layer of insoluble phosphates is applied to the metal surface. This layer is often referred to as the “conversion layer”. Phosphating is used to provide steel and iron with corrosion protection, in addition, the phosphate layer improves paint adhesion. In order to achieve additional corrosion protection and paint adhesion a passivation product can be added to the final treatment bath.
